About the Journal

JIGC (Journal of Islamic Guidance and Counseling)  is a scholarly periodical published by the Department of Islamic Guidance and Counseling, Faculty of Da’wah, State Islamic University of Jambi. It is issued twice a year, in June and December, with the electronic ISSN 2614-4492 and print ISSN 2614-4506. The journal is officially indexed in the Garuda database and has been accredited with Sinta 4 by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia.

JIGC (Journal of Islamic Guidance and Counseling) invites contributions from scholars, researchers, and practitioners in relevant fields to submit their manuscripts via the official email jigc.dakwah@uinjambi.ac.id or massuhartono@uinjambi.ac.id. The editor warmly welcomes contribution from scholars of related discipline submitting their articles to this journal through. The major issues of this journal are as follows:

  • Models, methods, and innovations in Islamic guidance and counseling;
  • Integration of Islamic teachings and modern psychology in counseling practice;
  • Psychospiritual approaches to mental health and personal development;
  • Cross-cultural and contextual studies on counseling within Muslim societies;
  • Ethical and philosophical foundations of Islamic counseling and psychology;
  • Preventive and rehabilitative interventions based on Islamic perspectives;
  • Application of technology and digital platforms in Islamic counseling and guidance.
