About the Journal

Sanak: Journal of Religious Studies is an open access research journal for researchers, academics, professionals, practitioners, and students to provide and share knowledge in the form of empirical and theoretical research papers, case studies, and literature reviews. Sanak: Journal of Religious Studies is published by the Department of Religious Studies, Faculty of Ushuluddin and Religious Studies, UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi, Indonesia; and in collaboration with ASAI: Association for the Study of Indonesian Religions.

 

Sanak: Journal of Religious Studies welcomes and recognizes theoretical and empirical research papers and literature reviews from researchers, academics, professionals, practitioners, and students from around the world, including the study of world religions such as Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, and other religions. Interdisciplinary studies may include the study of religion within the fields of anthropology, sociology, philosophy, psychology, and other cultural studies.

 

Starting with Volume 1 (2023), Sanak: Journal of Religious Studies has been publishing articles online, making the journal's content more quickly available to scholars, policymakers and practitioners

SANAK: Journal of the Study of Religions is a scientific journal published by the Study of Religions, STS Jambi State Islamic University, Jambi, Indonesia. This journal is only available online. The Journal of Religious Studies invites researchers and scholars to submit articles in religions such as Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, indiginous religion, and other religions. Interdisciplinary studies may include the studies of religion in the fields of anthropology, sociology, philosophy, psychology, and other cultural studies. This journal is published twice a year, namely in July and December. Each article will go through a review process by selected reviewers.
