PERAN JIWA BERAGAMA DALAM PENDIDIKAN DAN TRANSFORMASI BUDAYA DIKALANGAN GENERASI Z

Abstract

This study examines the role of religious spirit in shaping the character and mindset of Generation Z. The rapid advancement of technology has significantly impacted the way Generation Z thinks and behaves. This generation grows up in an instant digital environment that not only offers easy access to information but also poses a risk of diminishing spiritual understanding. Education becomes a crucial sector in maintaining a balance between the progress of the times and the preservation of the nation's noble values. The method used is descriptive qualitative research with a literature study approach, analyzing various scientific references related to Generation Z, cultural transformation, and religious value-based education. The results of the study show that education integrated with religious values can create a synergy between worldly knowledge and spirituality. Religious consciousness instilled within educational environments contributes to shaping morally upright characters who are open-minded yet grounded in strong moral foundations. In addition, the integration of religious values into learning methods is also able to adapt to the characteristics of Generation Z, who tend to be visual, adaptive, and interactive. Thus, religion-based education becomes the key to preserving cultural identity and guiding the younger generation so they are not swept away by the negative impacts of digital transformation.
