JISCO journal of information system and computing
Authors have the right to appeal an editorial decision on their submission to the Journal of Information Systems and Computing (JISCO) if they believe that a significant error or misunderstanding has occurred during the review process.
Authors must submit a formal appeal letter to the Editor-in-Chief via the journal’s official email address.
The appeal letter must clearly state the grounds for the appeal, respond to the reviewers’ comments point by point, or provide evidence of a procedural error.
Appeals must be submitted within 30 (thirty) calendar days from the date of the original decision.
Upon receiving an appeal, the Editor-in-Chief will:
Review all documentation related to the submission, including the manuscript, reviewer reports, and the decision letter;
Consult with Associate Editors and/or the original reviewers if necessary;
Appoint one or more independent reviewers to reassess the manuscript if deemed appropriate.
The final decision of the Editor-in-Chief after the appeal process is final and will be communicated to the author.
JISCO is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and editorial conduct and welcomes feedback and complaints.
Complaints may relate to, but are not limited to:
Journal policies, procedures, or timelines;
The conduct of editors, reviewers, or editorial staff;
Ethical concerns regarding published articles.
Complaints should be submitted in writing via email to the Editor-in-Chief of JISCO.
Complaints requiring escalation or related to the publisher may be directed to the managing institution of the journal.
All complaints submitted through the proper channels will be formally acknowledged. The journal and the managing institution will investigate the matter thoroughly and seek to resolve it fairly and promptly. The outcome of the investigation will be communicated to the complainant.
