Interkoneksi Nilai-Nilai Melayu Jambi: Teologi Islam dan Spirit Kewirausahaan

Islamic theology-based entrepreneurship growing rapidly with the help of the information technology revolution. However, local values are also important to be practiced in the dynamics of entrepreneurial activities. This study aims to understand the interconnection of the concept of entrepreneurship triangle: Islamic theology, entrepreneurial values (and) in Jambi Malay society, and who involve in promoting those values. Through field observations and literature data, this study found: first, that Jambi Malay ethics and Islamic theology textually have been supporting entrepreneurs spirit in Quranic verses and Seloko or Jambi traditional rhymes. Second, the promotion of entrepreneurship based on Islamic business ethics and Jambi Malay values has been driven by the religious leaders, cultural figures and entrepreneurs themselves in promoting the interconnection of religious values, Malay culture and the spirit entrepreneurship.
