LITERASI TARI RENTAK KUDO PADA MASYARAKAT KECAMATAN HAMPARAN RAWANG KOTA SUNGAI PENUH PROVINSI JAMBI

The swift currents of globalization in the 21st century have made the world community, including the Indonesian nation, have to accept the influx of outside influences on all aspects of the nation's life, including the cultural aspect. This study aims to determine how the literacy level of the expanse of Rawang community towards the Rentak Kudo dance. The method in this study the author uses research methods and descriptive qualitative approach. The findings show that the people of Hamparan Rawang Subdistrict, Sungai Penuh City in accessing information literacy are good, because most of the informants interviewed by the researchers, most of the informants are good in defining information needs, although they are still not very complete in knowing information about the Rentak Kudo dance either from meaning and movement in the Rentak Kudo dance. Meanwhile, in terms of evaluating the Rentak Kudo dance, it was good, because from the number of informants that the researchers interviewed, most of the informants were good in assessing information about the Rentak Kudo dance, taking advantage of the information and sharing the information they got with the community in Hamparan Rawang District or other areas. Meanwhile, in using the Rentak Kudo dance, it was very good, because most of the informants interviewed by the researcher were good at using information, there were some who had applied the information contained in the Rentak Kudo dance in their daily lives.
