Al-Wasatiyah: Journal of Religious Moderation is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal published by Universitas Islam Negeri Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi, Indonesia, twice a year, in June and December. Al-Wasatiyah focuses on religious moderation studies through theoretical and field research. Its primary aim is to encourage tolerance, mutual understanding, and respect for diversity among Muslims or between Muslims and non-Muslims, emphasizing coexistence within the framework of Islamic studies and social sciences. The journal’s scope spans multiple disciplines, including tafsīr (qur’anic exegesis), Islamic law, Islamic philosophy, religious studies, cultural studies, sociology, economics, politics, etc. All these disciplines are accepted as long as they maintain religious moderation as their focus and foundation.

Al-Wasatiyah: Journal of Religious Moderation has been accredited as SINTA 3 on March 21, 2025, by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia starting from Volume 1 Number 2 of 2022 to Volume 6 Number 1 of 2027.
