Abstract

Inter-religious harmony is a situation that allows people of different beliefs to live side by side by accepting, helping each other, respecting each other's beliefs and working together to achieve common goals. Today, this issue is crucial in the midst of a plural society which creates gaps in differences which then lead to horizontal conflicts. This study discusses the harmony that occurs between Muslims and Christians in Kemingking Luar Village, Taman Rajo District, Muaro Jambi Regency. The approach used is field research (faild research) with qualitative research methods with a sociological approach. The data collection techniques that the authors use in this study are through observation, interviews, and documentation. Harmony between Muslims and Christians in Kemingking Luar Village is well maintained, this can be seen from the fact that there have never been disputes and conflicts between religious communities there. In addition, interactions between religious communities there are also intertwined in various activities and opportunities such as during the celebration of the holidays of each religion, in social and economic activities. Supporting and inhibiting factors are also present in the formation of harmony in Kemingking Luar Village.
