THE PRINCIPAL'S STRATEGY IN IMPROVING TEACHERS’ RESOURCES IN ISLAMIC MIDDLE SCHOOL AN NURU ALAN NURI CENTRAL LOMBOK

The principal's strategy is one of the efforts to increase teacher resources in the learning process. The aim of the study was to determine the principal's strategy in increasing teacher resources at An Nuru Alan Nuri Islamic Middle School, Central Lombok. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. Data collection techniques: observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects were school principals, vice principals, teachers and supervisors. The results of the study show: 1) The principal's strategy in improving teacher abilities through fostering teacher abilities in the learning process, 2) The principal's strategy in increasing teacher discipline, namely: a) Upholding teacher discipline, b) Increasing teacher behavior standards, c) Implementing all regulations , 3) The principal's strategy in increasing teacher motivation is to create a harmonious situation, fulfill all the necessary equipment and provide rewards and punishments, 4) The principal's strategy in increasing teacher commitment is: conducting training, bringing tutors to school and providing opportunities to continue education, placing teachers according to their fields, and holding meetings at the beginning of each semester. 5) The obstacles faced by school principals in increasing teacher resources are: a) lack of firmness in implementing policies b) teachers lack motivation and teachers' domiciles are far away. c) inadequate school facilities, d) low participation of school community members.
